Aureve ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Aureve mobile application and website.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, complete your profile, use safety or verification features, or communicate with us.
- Account information: email address or phone number, display name, date of birth, gender, and account identifiers.
- Profile information: photos, private photos, voice prompts, video prompts, bio, height, body type, ethnicity, education, occupation, city, dating intentions, and other profile preferences or optional lifestyle fields you choose to share.
- Safety and verification information: optional trusted contact details and meeting details for Date Check-in, plus information needed to run photo verification, liveness verification, and background checks where offered.
- Communications: messages with other users and messages you send to support, safety, or privacy teams.
- Usage and device data: interactions with profiles, likes, matches, purchases, device type, operating system, crash diagnostics, performance data, push notification tokens, and app activity.
- Location data: city and GPS coordinates, with your permission, to show relevant profiles nearby.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your account and profile.
- Match you with other users and personalize discovery.
- Facilitate messaging, likes, matches, and safety features.
- Process subscriptions and purchases.
- Send push notifications about likes, matches, and messages.
- Run verification and fraud-prevention checks.
- Monitor reliability, diagnose crashes, and improve the service.
- Analyze product usage when analytics is enabled on your device.
- Enforce our Terms of Service and protect users, our rights, and the platform.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:
- With other users: your profile information, including display name, photos, prompts, bio, city, and other profile fields you choose to show, is visible as part of the service. Private photos are only shared with users you approve.
- With trusted contacts you choose: if you use Date Check-in, your trusted contact may receive your name, safety alert status, scheduled check-in timing, and any meeting details you choose to include if a safety alert is triggered.
- With service providers: we use trusted vendors including Supabase for hosting and storage, RevenueCat plus Apple or Google for subscriptions, Mixpanel for product analytics, Sentry for crash diagnostics, Expo for push delivery, AWS Rekognition for photo and liveness verification, and Checkr for background checks.
- For legal and safety reasons: we may disclose information if required by law or when we believe it is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
- In a business transfer: your information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
4. Your Controls and Choices
Aureve offers privacy and account controls inside the app, including settings for discovery visibility, online status, read receipts, hidden profile views, and optional premium privacy features.
- You can request a copy of your account data by contacting support@aureve.app.
- You can delete your account from the app settings.
- You can disable future Mixpanel analytics collection from Settings > Privacy > Analytics & Personalization.
- You can manage notification and location permissions in your device settings.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may also have legal rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain uses of your personal information.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, our deletion workflow removes profile data, photos, messages, matches, and other account-linked records from our active systems, subject to safety, legal, payment, and fraud-prevention retention requirements.
- Crash and reliability diagnostics may be retained for a limited period to investigate issues.
- Subscription and billing records may be retained according to Apple, Google, and RevenueCat requirements.
- Analytics retention depends on provider settings, and the analytics toggle only affects future analytics collection from the device where you disable it.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, encrypted storage for sensitive credentials, and row-level security on our database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
Aureve is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly allow minors to use the service. If we learn that an underage user has created an account, we will remove it.
8. International Users
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. By using the service, you understand that your information may be processed in those locations.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you in the app, by email, or by updating the public policy page.
